FIVE MUST-VISIT EXHIBITIONS THIS AUTUMN IN BARCELONA
Back to the city, back to our day to day and our favorite time of the year to fill our free time with culture, beauty and take the most out of Barcelona, so here are some of the exhibitions we are not going to miss this autumn:
TÀPIES ON HIS 30s: Tàpies Foundation celebrates its 30th anniversary with an exhibition that travels through time up to the decade of 1953 (and till 1963). In this period, Tàpies was on his 30s and about to reach his maturity with the material paintings. Also, during this period he received his first recognitions and launched his first exhibitions.
A unique opportunity to admire some pieces of the artist that have never been shown to the public before.
From October 3rd until June 6th, 2021.
MUSICAL APÉRITIF AT CASA BATLLÓ: During October, enjoy musical apéritifs at Casa Batlló all Saturdays and Sundays.
The entrance includes a drink and a cultural tour with augmented reality and a life concert at the Modernist rooftop. There will be two session available each day; at 11a.m. and at 1p.m.
THE WORLD OF BANKSY: Banksy, one of the most admired and recognized contemporary street artists. For the first time, we can admire reunited some of his art pieces in Barcelona, specifically in Espacio Trafalgar, and get a closer look to this controversial artistic universe.
From February 25th until December 31st.
BARCELONA PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY: An immersive exhibition and part of it in virtual reality, produced by IDEAL, the first Art Digital center in south of Europe.
The team has collected more than 120 photographies of 6 of the best Catalan photographers: Francesc Català-Roca, Oriol Maspons, Leopoldo Pomés, Joana Biarnés, Xavier Miserachs i Colita. A selection of images that offer a unique vision of Barcelona during the period of the 50s and 60s and also an homage to the analog photography.

48H OPEN HOUSE: This is one of the most waited events in October. Thisyear, part of the program will be online and will include podcasts and virtual 360 tours to buildings such as Arc de Triomf or the Torres Venecianes.
On the 24th and 25th, 124 buildings will be open for anyone who wants to visit them (previous registration) and the theme this year will be: Healthy City.
You will be able to discover the gardens at the rooftops of Ca la Dona and the one at the old headquarters of Editorial Gustavo Gili, the secret Masriera workshop, amongst others.
