Terraces in Barcelona for any time of the day

September is here and the air is spirited with that feeling of fresh starts. Lazy summer days are over and it’s time to get back on track a bit, but we still support keeping that bare foot spirit alive in our hearts. We have picked out our favorite terrace for every time of day so that you can make the most of Barcelona’s balmy weather and long hours of sunshine. Breakfast at El Jardí del Alma Fancy freshly fried “churros” in an urban oasis? Jardín del Alma is a quiet and harmonious garden right in the heart of Barcelona. The lush vegetation and spaced tables enhance this sense of peacefulness, very much needed when it comes to enjoy the very first meal of the day. Different coffee options, specially blended for the hotel, and the finest teas perfectly blend with their selection of fresh fruit, traditional breads and cheeses, homemade cakes and made to order dishes such as pancakes or eggs prepared to taste: fried, scrambled, poached... Nothing can go wrong when the day starts like this! Carner Barcelona’s perfect perfume to wear at El Jardí would be… Besos. The freshness of musk and the notes of mandarin and jasmine so characteristic of this scent, are also perceived as soon as you step into this beautiful garden.

Vermouth at El Sueño at The Serras El Sueño occupies the terrace which, a 120 years before, used to host Picasso’s very first studio! This minimalist rooftop, overlooking the sea and Port Vell Marina, features a beautiful cocktail bar offering a wide range of drinks and a delicious selection of refined snacks created by Michelin-Starred Chef, Marc Gascons. This is the perfect open space to chill, fill your lungs with the fresh breeze of the Mediterranean and get inspired just as Picasso used to do a few decades ago. Carner Barcelona’s perfect perfume to wear at El Sueño would be… Costarela, this signature perfume captures the Mediterranean spirit, just as The Serras’ rooftop.

Lunch at Chez Cocó This sophisticated restaurant has its inspiration in the mythic tradition of the French Brasseries. The open kitchen will welcome you but the real gem of the restaurant awaits at the end of the venue! This is the interior garden that will take you to the Tuscany as soon as you arrive. Chez Cocó offers all kinds of poultry and meats “roasted à la broche” which can be combined with their mouth watering selection of appetizers and paired with one of their amazing wines. Carner Barcelona’s perfect perfume to wear at Chez Cocó would be… D600, a scent inspired by the dynamism of the Avenue where our brand took its first steps and where this contemporary restaurant is located.

Address: Avinguda Diagonal 465 (Eixample Quarter)

Afterwork – Azimuth (Tardes) This is probably one of the latest hot spots and the apex of our city’s social life. Azimuth boasts a captivating panoramic rooftop and a refined decoration specially designed to relax and catch the sunset. Their inventive cocktails have been created to transport your taste buds on a journey around the globe. Oh, and don’t miss the chance of trying one of their mouth watering sandwiches, (the “Bikini” of Iberian ham 100% “bellota”, mozzarella and arugula is our favorite). Carner Barcelona’s perfect perfume to wear at Azimuth would be… Tardes, a perfume that evokes the sense of slow living.

Dinner at El Mercader de L’Eixample (Beso) This place draws attention at distance, a noble house, in the heart of Eixample, reconverted into a traditional Catalan cuisine restaurant. However, the owners have respected the original architecture of the Eixample floor. One of its singularities is the magical private terrace right in front of the building. The small tables and the tenuous candlelight makes of this, one of the most romantic settings to enjoy a quiet conversation. Moreover, El Mercader works exclusively with eco-friendly products. Just as the Carner Barcelona’s packaging! In the kitchen is nothing left to chance, proof of this is that all of the plates are made with seasonal vegetables coming from their 300 m2 organic garden located in Collserola Park. Carner Barcelona’s perfect perfume to wear at El Mercader would be… Sweet William. The most romantic scent in our collection will be the perfect accessory to conquer your date.

Address: Mallorca 239 (Eixample Quarter)
