Our favorite sunsets at Costa Brava
Summer evenings in the Mediterranean coast are just so special… That moment of the day in which the “slow living” philosophy gains more meaning than ever; the beauty of the sky full of colors, the aroma of the pine trees mixes with the breeze of the sea, the laughter of kids playing in the yard and a nice conversation with a good glass of wine…
Summer evenings are simply one of our favorite moments and inspired us in the creation of Tardes, a scent that talks about all these good moments.
Today we want to share with you five of our favorite places to enjoy the sunset in Costa Brava:
Can Marc – Begur
One of the most beautiful views of the Costa Brava in an idyllic garden to enjoy an exquisite selection of cocktails and tapas. El Jardí de Can Marc, an oasis in Begur, is a unique gastro-cocktail chillout!
From the viewpoint of Plaza Forgas, you will admire the remains of the medieval castle that crowns the village of Begur. To the left, on the horizon the Pyrenees. To the right, the immensity of the Mediterranean. And looking down: Can Marc, a beautiful farmhouse that, with more than five hundred years of history, invites you to enjoy the summer nights.
Originally a convent it later became a notary office. It was rumored that the house was haunted, so no one wanted to live there until the great-grandfather of the present owners purchased the property to turn it into a farm.
Background music, breathtaking views, a selection of Mediterranean finger food dishes and amazing cocktails, what else?
Mas Sorrer – Gualta
This is probably the place to be this summer. Despite not being on the sea front, Mas Sorrer is a magic place to enjoy from sunrise to sunset with a wide variety of activities such as yoga sessions, brunch, concerts and two restaurants that will be a delight for all the palates.
In a laid-back atmosphere, with the Mediterranean breeze enhancing the aroma of the pine trees that surround the property; live music will put the rhythm to the sunset while enjoying one of the best cocktails in the area.
Don’t leave this place without trying one of their amazing paellas.
Restaurant & Hotel Cap Sa Sal Luxury – Begur
Known as the last wild cliff in the Costa Brava, Cap sa Sal stand on a privileged corner in Begur that never ceases to amaze those who are lucky to discover it.
A 10-room hotel, all of them facing the Mediterranean, and a restaurant with majestic natural surroundings.
This is the perfect setting to enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine. Seasonal rices and local fresh fish and seafood are the main characters of their menu.
A place where time stops so that you can take your time to admire its stunning views; the beauty of the waves beating against the rocks and the sailing boats.
Far Nomo at Far de Sant Sebastià – Llafranc
San Sebastian lighthouse is located in the village of Llafranc. Located 169 above the sea, it is the most powerful lighthouse in catalan coast. Next to the lighthouse we find an iberian deposit of San Sebastian de la Guarda.
For those who love Japanese food, here you will find Far Nomo, set in a magical place with dreamy views. The restaurant has a cuisine based on the experience of Nomo restaurants (a very popular Japanese group in Barcelona). Aside from the fabulous cuisine, you can take a drink in the chill with pretty enviable panoramic at the Mediterranean.
Restaurant Cap de Creus – Cadaqués
Open since 1991, this restaurant is located at the end of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus; next to the lighthouse and surrounded by untouched nature.
The building is pretty damaged because of non-stop Tramuntana wind, but this is actually part of its charm.
The chef, Chris Little has been in the kitchen of Cap de Creus for 20 years now. Enjoy their traditional Catalan cuisine and fresh fish, but also with specialty dishes from India!
During the summer nights, live concerts take place so, get yourself comfortable and enjoy the moment!
